LECCE – It was held yesterday evening in a sparkling Piazza Duomo in Lecce, the city will light up Celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Vigna d’Argento Award.

The initiative, linked to one of the symbols of Puglia and Italy, namely the vine plant which tells of passion, effort, work and industriousness of the territory, celebrates its tenth edition with a special appointment in the heart of the Salento capital between music, entertainment, entertainment, culture, insights and a series of guests, including old friends who return to the stage of the Award and new personalities from the world of institutions, culture and businesses who will receive it.

The Vigna d’Argento Award is a national project by title “UNITALIA” – Traditions, Roots, Identity, Culturepresenting itself with three venues, Lecce-Rome-Milan, in an ideal route from the south, to the center, to the north.

The meeting in Lecce comes after the one held in Milan, at Palazzo Marino, last May, and in view of the next one in Rome, at the Campidoglio, on September 19th.

Organized by the Salento association “Città della Musica” chaired by Pino Lagallecreator and patron of the initiative, since 2011 the Vigna d’Argento Award, a work by the Salento sculptor Eagle Malecore (who passed away in 2013 at the age of 92, after having trained generations of artisans in his Lecce workshop), is assigned to important figures of the cultureof the showfrom the institutions and of companieshas civil who have contributed to the growth of the country. The Vigna d’Argento Award is, in fact, an award that comes from Puglia to give credit to women and men of excellence.

Among those awarded in Lecce Antonio De Donno (chief public prosecutor of Brindisi), Luca Rotondi (Prefect of the province of Lecce), Francesca Riccio (manager of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Provinces of Brindisi and Lecce), Cosimo Durante (president of Gal Terra D’Arneo), Valentino Nicolì (president of Confindustria Lecce), Toni Matarrelli (mayor of Mesagne), Francesco Di Gregorio (creator of Forum Eventi).

To embellish the Award Vigna d’Argento 2024, among other things, a publication by title “The Vigna it’s said” which summarizes the history of the Award, from its origins and throughout 18 events, between the editions of Lecce, Rome and Milan, with photos, comments and significant memories. It will be donated not only to this year’s winners and recipients but to all participants of the three events.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the internationally renowned soprano also took part in the evening Chiara Taigithe Great Wind Orchestra of the Vigna d’Argento directed by the teacher Giuseppe Gregucci, Elisabetta Guido, Gabriele Nahi, Carla Petrachi, Salvatore Cosentino, Andrea Sirianni, the liturgical choir of the cathedral of Lecce directed by the master Tonio Calabrese. Choreographies by Enza Bracelet.

The children of the “Valesium” Comprehensive Institute of the Municipality of Torchiarolo (Br) will also contribute to the event: they will speak on the topic of Roots and Identity, creating a moment of in-depth analysis and comparison between the past and the future.
