The San Filippo Spa Company, which manages the city’s municipal swimming pools, has managed to find the necessary staff to guarantee the safe opening of the municipal lido from Monday 1st to Friday 5th and then from Monday 8th to Friday 12th, from 12pm to 7pm On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July, however, the facility will host the Italian Club Championships and the 46th Overall Summer Paralympic Swimming Championships, so it will not be open to the public.
The change in legislation that has affected the entire sector at a national level, creating inconvenience and difficulties in the hiring of lifeguards, coordinators and lifeguards, necessary for the summer beaches of the city swimming facilities. To make up for the lack of staff, San Filippo Spa had published two tenders, with the aim of finding the staff necessary to guarantee assistance and safety in the two largest swimming pools in the city. The efforts put in place so far, which also involved an external company for the recruitment of lifeguards, have allowed the opening of the lido starting from Monday; in the meantime, the company is working to launch a further tender capable of guaranteeing the extension of the opening of the lido.
