The Territorial Union of Piacenza welcomed the news of the election of the Secretary of Piacenza Pino De Rosa to the National Confederal Council.
The Fifth National Congress closed on Thursday 27 June with the election of the National Secretariat which will be led by the General Secretary Paolo Capone assisted by the Secretaries Luigi Ulgiati and Luca Malcotti.
The election of the Secretary of Piacenza in the National Council comes as the culmination of the growing activity in qualitative and quantitative terms of the Territorial Union of Piacenza and is the result of the commitment of the Piacenza union leaders and the ever-increasing trust of the workers.
The V National Congress, in defining the lines for the future of the Organization, identified the participation of workers in the management of companies as the central, and indeed historical, nucleus of the future action of the union which will be able to strengthen its representativeness and demand due recognition. .
In his speech at the congress De Rosa reminded all those present that “the next few years will undoubtedly see a new season of Italian trade unionism and UGL will be the protagonist. They will say of us: they had the courage to act because the vision was clear”
