The athletes of Vittorio Alfieri Asti triumph at the Italian Masters Championships in Rome

The “Paolo Rosi” Stadium in Rome was the stage for a weekend of intense and emotional competitions, with the Italian Master Championships which saw the athletes of Vittorio Alfieri Asti as protagonists. The Asti team shone, bringing home nine medals, including six gold, with four athletes, confirming itself as a reality of excellence in Italian masters athletics.

Silvia Molino dominated the competitions, winning three Italian SF45 titles, despite not being in perfect physical condition. Her measurement of 32.63 in the hammer throw earned her the title of Italian Champion. Not happy, Silvia replicated in the short handle hammer throw, with a throw of 8.98 meters, and she also triumphed in the discus throw with the measurement of 26.20 meters. Her commitment and dedication also brought her to the podium in the javelin throw, where she won bronze with a throw of 17.27 metres.

Francesca Juri (photo above) also held the Vittorio Alfieri Asti flag high. In the SF60 high jump, Francesca achieved the silver medal with a jump of 1.26 metres. But her moment of glory came in the F60 triple jump, where with a measurement of 8.57 meters she won her umpteenth Italian Champion title.
Debora Ferro (photo below) gave two more medals to the team. In the 1500 meters F50, with a time of 5.18.49, she obtained a precious second place with a hint of disappointment which became fuel for the next test, those in the 2000 steeplechase F50 where Debora achieved another grandiose feat: with the with a time of 8’05”65 she won the title of Italian Champion and set the new Italian category record with a great second kilometer which allowed her to also beat opponents from younger categories.

The only man present, Alessandro Bramafarina dominated the competition in the M35 long jump, winning the title of Italian Champion with a great jump of 6.36 metres, despite coming onto the stage with a high fever.
