The meeting between the Municipality of Lucca and Lucchese 1905 was held this morning at Palazzo Orsetti regarding the project of the new Porta Elisa stadium, in which the administration informed the company of the fastest procedural process in order to arrive at the realization of the stadium in the most effective way.
Present at the meeting were the councilor for sport of the Municipality of Lucca Fabio Barsanti and the councilor for public works Nicola Buchignani, the technicians of the institution, the president of Lucchese 1905 Andrea Bulgarella and the professionals appointed by the club for the illustration of the project .
A joint path which could therefore quickly activate the procedures necessary for an overall redevelopment of the Porta Elisa Stadium, such as to make it suitable for structures, equipment and systems for the B series and adaptable to the A series, therefore opting for the active involvement of the club in planning.
Also today, the municipal council adopted the council resolution for the withdrawal of public interest linked to the project for the new Aurora Immobiliare stadium, which will then be formalized in the municipal council.
“It was a first round table – declare the councilors for sport and public works Fabio Barsanti and Nicola Buchignani – to lay the foundations towards the idea of a stadium that the club has in mind, as Lucchese had announced in recent weeks. The administration will do everything to ensure that the timescales are as short as possible compatibly with the regulatory framework, with the aim of undertaking a path that can lead to the presentation of a project for the new stadium that is sustainable and suited to needs and ambitions. of Lucca. We are now waiting for the company to produce a feasibility document of the project alternatives accompanied by an economic and financial plan”.
In the meantime, work is underway by the municipal administration at the Porta Elisa Stadium, in view of the upcoming 2024/25 football season. In fact, the resurfacing of the turf is planned, with delivery marking the start of the work scheduled for next week (68,550 euros). Work on the new video surveillance system is also progressing, with the necessary materials arriving in the next few days and the completion of the work scheduled for the month of August (around 140 thousand euros). Finally, the request for authorization has been sent to the Superintendence for the lengthening and adaptation of the benches, for which the work will be entrusted to a specialized engineering firm.
