A 16 year old girl from Ravenna reported having been sexually assaulted by a boy who was just eighteen years old while he was at a party. The facts date back to last May 4th, when the young student went to one private party in a club in the city thinking she would only find a few friends, but instead there were about seventy people, including the very young man who would then rape her. The latter is under investigation for multiple aggravated sexual violence and the Bolognese prosecutor for minors Caterina Sallusti could soon question him.
«Now she’s afraid to see him around again»
According to reports Il Resto del Carlino, the mother reportedly said that the girl is now afraid of meeting her alleged rapist around. As told by the parents of the 16 year old, protected by the lawyer Aldo Guerrini, the daughter had been accompanied by her father to that party: the man had left her there around 10.30pm, reassured by the fact that she was with kids like her.
But after having had a few drinks, according to the prosecution, the 16-year-old was approached by a young man she did not know personally and was abused despite having told him to stop.
The story to the ex-boyfriend
That same night, once she returned home around 3.30 thanks to the passing of a friend’s mother, she confided in her ex-boyfriend on her cell phone: and it was the latter’s parents, after having in turn collected the confidence from the son, to warn the girl’s parents. «We were watching the Juventus-Roma match – the father recalled – when they call me outside the house and tell me: ‘She was raped’.
I felt as if I had been punched in the face, it didn’t seem real.”
The message after the violence
Subsequently, father and mother went to their daughter’s room who, suffocated by a sense of shame, had even expressed the intention of running away: «The world collapsed around me. I held her, I picked her up – recalled her mother -. She told me: “Mom don’t cry”. I told her not to worry, that it wasn’t her fault. I asked her if she had hurt her, she showed me some marks on her thighs. Then I told her to come to the bed.”
The following day the Radiomobile police seized her clothes. But above all, the 16-year-old, accompanied by her mother, had been visited in the emergency room in Ravenna. And just while she was at the gynecologist, her suspect, after having tracked down her number, had written to her referring to the incident: “you have ruined your life, you are no longer the girl you were before”, concluded her mother.
