In the 369 pages of the order signed by the investigating judge of Rome Livio Sabatini who revealed the criminal dynamics of the drug trafficking group set up by Marcello Colafigli, the ‘Buffalo’ of the Banda della Magliana, the names of Pasquale Napolitano, born in 1967, also appear known as ‘Uncle’ or also ‘The black one’, ‘The dark one’ or ‘The tanned one’ and by Gaetano Saracino born in 1979, renamed ‘The boy’.
Both from Cerignola, they are two of the 28 subjects arrested because in competition with 13 other suspects and with unidentified people but known by the nicknames of Pachito and Cittillo, they allegedly concluded the purchase of a large quantity of cocaine, of approximately 30 kg, intended at the shop. Substance that would have been imported into Italy from Colombia via Panama, by transport inside a fruit container arriving at the ports of Gioia Tauro and Naples.
The operation failed and caused the suppliers to lose 200 thousand euros. The two people from Cerignola, in fact, would have financed the purchase of the narcotic by handing over 192,800 euros in cash to the organization directed by Marcello Colafigli, who for his business made use of members of the Camorra, ‘Ndrangheta, Foggia and Albania. “…we have the uncle who bets..”
Same amount that the two people from Cerignola would have paid for the importation from Spain of a large quantity of hashish for several hundred kilograms, which arrived in Italy in a false bottom of a lorry with a Spanish license plate unloaded in the carpentry shop of one of the suspects in Rome, base stable logistics, then resold immediately after unloading.
In the papers of the ordinance the name of Pasquale Napolitano appears as a financier and is linked to some meetings that took place in Rome with leading exponents of the criminal association and also with Marcello Colafigli, who will try, personally, to resolve with the Cerignolani the question of the sum that disappeared when organizing a robbery, which was only foiled thanks to the intervention of the police
The ‘Uncle’ telephone numbers, in fact, on more than one occasion have connected the places usually frequented by the organization, near the Via Aurelia railway station, as in the case of the Roman trip from 31 August to 2 September 2020, or in the Montespaccato neighborhood, where they stayed with Gaetano Saracino.
Napolitano’s user will be located in an area close to the Rebibbia prison where the former member of the Magliana gang, known as ‘Marcellone’, was detained on semi-liberty:; and in Torrimpietra, a locality in Fiumicino, where the intermediary’s activity was present between them and the group headed by Bufalo.
