Taugourdeau, lighthouse of Trapani’s midfield

An investment. This he represented Anthony Taugourdeau for the Trapani when, three championships ago, he was purchased for 300 thousand euros by Piacenza.

The French footballer, born on June 3, 1989, suffered from adaptation in his first season. Off to a great start in the season opener 2017-18 in the Italian Cup against Paganese, when he missed his first pass only in the 42nd minute of the first half in a sumptuous match, he slowly slipped to the fringes of the coach’s project Heat and, so, in January he returned on loan there Piacenza from which the grenades had taken him.

Two seasons ago, however, with the arrival of Vincenzo Italiano, there was the turning point: 39 games (30 in the championship, 4 in the playoffs, 3 in the Serie C Italian Cup and 2 in the Italian Cup), with a total of 8 goals and, therefore, promotion to Serie B. And last year, after a slow start among the cadets, a bit like the whole team, Togò emerged, so much so that he was among the best midfielders of the entire Serie B championship. At the end of the tournament, despite being saved on the pitch, came the incredible relegation and subsequent exclusion from Serie C. In the meantime he had managed to free himself from a club in disarray by paying a termination clause of just 20 thousand euros which, however, allowed the club to lighten the wage bill, even if this operation did not serve to avoid exclusion from the tournament.

And to demonstrate its great value, with the Venice he achieved promotion to Serie A through the playoffs, before ultimately moving to Lumezzane.
