Tensions over the reshuffle, Core resigns – Teramo

TERAMO. Surprise blow in the majority of the mayor of Teramo Gianguido D’Albertor: yesterday the city councilor Andrea Core he resigned as group leader of “Together we can”, the numerically strongest political force in the assembly and closest to the mayor. A step backwards communicated by the person concerned to his group mates and to the prime minister Alberto Melarangelo and to the mayor. Everyone was surprised by a choice which, however, if framed in the municipal political context, appears in line with the nature of a councilor who is as passionate as he is intolerant of stagnant situations.
The reasons for Core’s resignation as group leader would be mainly attributable to internal frictions with some members of “Together we can”, also linked to the affair of the council reshuffle that never arrived. On this and on the political line that the group should follow, strong disagreements have arisen in recent weeks which exploded yesterday with the resignation. It is clear that Core’s action has a connection with the stalemate that arose over the reshuffle: the election of Giovanni Cavallari it left the public works department empty, one of the most important, which the mayor has kept for himself for now. But the wait over the name of the new councilor has created expectations, pressure and some demands from groups and parties with which D’Alberto has been engaging in discussions for days. Interlocutions which, to date, have not allowed us to find a solution. There is not only a need to replace but also to decide on the councilor Valdo Di Bonaventura (candidate for the regional elections with Action which sits in opposition in the city council) and on how to balance the political balance of the majority. On Wednesday, during question time, the Northern League member Berardo Rabuffo the mayor himself questioned the reshuffle. D’Alberto was clear in saying that he had no obligations on this point, “since the administrative machinery was not stopped or prejudiced”, but only the possibility of intervening in this sense. If the name of the advisor Marco Di Marcantonio (Pd) is taken for granted as a replacement for Cavallari, who in the meantime is apparently pushing to have a second councilor from his group alongside Alessandra Ferri, the options remain different on the other boxes. It could be replaced Ilaria De Sanctis (Together We Can) in favor of Graziella Cordone (In Comune per Te, president D’Angelo’s group). And Di Bonaventura could be replaced by his group’s advisor, although now distant, Simone Mistichelli.
