Liberati denounces, on behalf of the category, «the exponential increase, which has occurred in recent weeks, in the quantity of criminal incidents against supermarkets, galleries and shopping centers in L’Aquila, including, in particular, thefts and pickpockets with dexterity, sometimes with consequences bordering on the risk of personal injury, carried out by actual organized gangs (including those from outside the region) who carry out raids with ever greater and worrying frequency, as found by me and the owners of various commercial companies in the sector. in shops, each time taking away goods of significant overall value, often worth hundreds of euros. The operators of the sector of the capital and of the entire province”, adds Liberati, “are, therefore, increasingly alarmed by the incessant spread of the phenomenon which, in fact, is putting a strain on their work and the very economic stability of their companies ». Therefore, the provincial president of Fida Confcommercio asks for «a meeting, also with representatives of the police, in order to be able to expose the problem in question in a broader and more detailed way and start a fruitful collaboration aimed at identifying rapid and shared solutions on the merits.”
