Bad weather Veneto, large hail in Porto Viro, Agugliaro submerged

MeteoWeb

Italy continues to be hit by extreme bad weather: after the violent hailstorm yesterday in Turintoday it was the turn of Veneto. Strong storms, in fact, hit the region in the first part of today, Saturday 25 May. An intense multi-cell storm affected Veronese, Padua and Rodigino, causing violent hailstorms. TO Porto Viro, in the province of Rovigo, the hail reached grains of 5cm: It is easy to expect a lot of damage, to cars, external objects and agriculture. In the Vicenza area, however, the hail was abundant but small: the images confirm this Agugliaro, where the landscape has practically turned white as if it were snow. There were huge accumulations of hail on the roads, so much so that bulldozers had to be used to remove them.

On the rain front, we point out 47mm in Roverchiara, 37mm in Cologna Veneta, 26mm in Cagnano, 16mm In Padova, 13mm in Teolo, Ponte San Nicolo, 12mm in Rosolina.

Hail is being shoveled in Agugliaro, in the lower Vicenza area
