The special team faced a representative of the park rangers in a soccer match at the Marcigliana Park

There Rome has communicated on its official website the details of the initiative it has undertaken to support the environment. In the Marcigliana Nature Reserve The AS Roma for Specials team, made up of athletes with intellectual-relational disabilities and a representative of the park rangers of theRome Nature Regional Authority to encourage the practice of sport in the open area as a tool for aggregation and inclusion. Below is the club’s statement: ” A new sporting event took place on May 24th in which the Club chose to participate to enhance the theme of inclusion and contribute to the promotion of the parks and reserves of our region through outdoor sports. Inside from theMarcigliana Nature Reservesome athletes with intellectual-relational disabilities on the team AS Roma for Special they challenged a selection of park rangers from theRome Nature Regional Authority to encourage the spread of outdoor sport as an extraordinary tool for integration and inclusion. The initiative is part of the policy Climate & Advocacy of the UEFA Sustainability Strategy 2030 – which the Club is inspired by – and took place within the framework of the “European Parks Week”, scheduled from 18 to 26 May to highlight the importance of conserving natural habitats and connecting people with nature to make it known, appreciated and protected. The mascot also participated in the event Romulus, who distributed Giallorossi gadgets to sixty children from the National Boarding School present in the park, to whom the Club also offered a healthy and tasty lunch, further enriching the experience of the day. The children involved were able to carry out numerous outdoor activities, managed by park rangers, to get closer to nature and sporting practices with the aim of learning to respect the environment and recognize the value of natural parks”.
