An initiative of the National Environmental Corps of Asti and Alessandria to bring the importance of the concept of respect for biodiversity to primary school classes, on the occasion of the world day dedicated to it.

Some environmental guards intervened, for Asti, at the Mongardino school and at the Buonarroti school in Asti.

About two hundred people including students and teachers participated in the initiative.
The National Environmental Corps brought the topic of biodiversity to the attention of the young students, finding a lot of interest both from the children, who interacted by asking many questions on the topic, and from the teachers.

The great interest aroused by this theme has already led the environmental guards to envisage a repeat of the day next year with a practical component in addition to the theoretical one, perhaps taking the children to green areas, in contact with nature and with the activities that the volunteers of the Corps do on each of their outings.

«We are committed to raising future responsible citizens and thus building a better tomorrow for all – we read in a note from the Association – because it is from school that the next generations grow up and it is therefore a duty of us adults to provide them with the tools e
convey awareness of the nature that surrounds us and that we must safeguard
even in small daily gestures. Always with the help of parents who set a good example.”
The project, born in Piedmont, will continue at a national level in every branch of the National Environmental Corps.
