(ANSA) – TORRE DEL GRECO (NAPLES), MAY 18 – Inter, Juventus, Milan and Turris: these are the four teams that will compete on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May at the Amerigo Liguori stadium with free entry for the first Under football trophy 17 “City of Torre del Greco”.

The tournament, which pits the home team against the three clubs that are the most renowned in Italy at a higher level, follows the recent visit of the CONI president Giovanni Malagò to the places where work will begin in the autumn for the construction of the stadium’s facilities. Cittadella dello Sport, in the intentions of the municipal administration led by mayor Luigi Mennella, was also born as a driving force for promoting tourism in the area.

“The associations present at the tournament – the Municipality announced – will stay in Torre del Greco from Friday afternoon until the departure scheduled for Monday 27th: a way to allow young members and their companions to visit some of the beauties of the city”.

Staying with the football competition, the match calendar has already been established: it starts on Saturday 25 May with the match between the hosts Turris and Inter (kick-off at 10.30), while the second semi-final, the one which will pit Milan and Juventus, is set for 2.30 pm. The two winners will compete for the first “Città di Torre del Greco” trophy on Sunday 26 May in the final scheduled for 2.30 pm, while the final for third and fourth place is also scheduled for Sunday at 10.30 am.

Between the matches on Saturday and Sunday, exhibition matches are scheduled between representatives of under 12 clubs from the province of Naples. (HANDLE).
