Double home robbery in Udine and Pordenone: a 44-year-old arrested

The man was arrested in Spain: he is responsible for two robberies in Udine and Pordenone.

On May 20th, a citizen was arrested by the Spanish police in Algeciras44 year old arocchino, recipient of a European Arrest Warrant issued by the Udine Public Prosecutor’s Office, because he must serve a sentence of 5 years and 2 months in prison. The provision in question is a cumulation of two sentences from the Courts of Pordenone and Udine, which concern two robberies perpetrated in the two capitals.

The first episode occurred in the right-wing Tagliamento area in May 2016, when the foreigner was surprised inside a apartment, where he had stolen valuables. To earn his escape, first he grabbed the elderly owner who had surprised him in the house, and subsequently hit a condominium owner, who had chased him. With violence he managed to get away from the scene of the events, but immediately afterwards he was tracked down and arrested.

In May 2020 in Udine, the man, together with a compatriot, was responsible for a crimeimproper pina, when, after having committed a theft in a homewas noticed coming out of the house by the victim’s nephew, who tried to stop the stranger, but he, by pushing and hitting him, he earned his escape. Following the sentencing, the investigation by the Udine Flying Squad made it possible to ascertain that the 44 year old, who lived in Milan, was no longer traceable in Italybut had moved from first in France and then in Spainwhere his possible home was identified.

The evidence was transmitted by the International Police Cooperation Service which solicited the Spanish police body, which captured the fugitive on May 20th. Extradition procedures are also underway in this case.
