Two people arrested by the Arezzo police

As part of specific services aimed at tracing subjects subject to measures restrictive of personal freedom, the men of the Flying Squad of the Arezzo Police Headquarters, directed by Doctor Sergio Leo, arrested two men, both recipients of imprisonment orders for convictions definitive against them.

In particular, in the first case, on May 20th, a 46-year-old man was arrested, formally resident in southern Italy but living in the Arezzo and Perugian areas, against whom a definitive sentence of 5 years and 4 months of prison was pending. prison sentence issued in April for the crimes of receiving stolen goods, fraud and material forgery

Just a month ago the men of the Arezzo Flying Squad had tracked him down on board a car, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, but on that occasion the condemned man, aware of the imprisonment order issued against him, he was given to a long and daring escape which led him to abandon the vehicle and continue on foot, definitively losing track of him.

Despite this, the research did not stop, extending to a national level, with checks also carried out in other Regions.

Following the further and incessant investigations carried out, the investigators of the Arezzo Police Headquarters were able to hypothesize a possible location of the wanted person within the municipality of Passignano di Trasimeno, a place where a special service was set up together with personnel from the Flying Squad of Perugia.

Precisely in that territory the police officers finally managed to stop the subject, who, to evade the searches, was traveling in a car registered to a rental company, with tinted windows, wearing a headdress and sunglasses.

After the ritual formalities, the forty-six-year-old was then taken to the “Le Capanne” prison in Perugia.

Two days later, on 22 May, the men of the Arezzo Flying Squad carried out another restrictive measure issued against a 57-year-old man, definitively convicted for various thefts also committed in the Cavriglia area.

In this case the wanted person, effectively homeless, was traced, following investigative investigations, in the historic center of Arezzo and taken to the “la Dogaia” prison in Prato, where he will have to serve a two-year prison sentence.
