VENICE – The Veneto Civil Protection has issued a new warning of hydrogeological and hydraulic criticality, valid from 2pm today to 2pm tomorrow. The criticality warning confirms the yellow hydrogeological alert for storms (state of attention valid until 6am tomorrow 24 May, to be reconfigured, at local level, in the pre-alarm-alarm phase depending on the intensity of the phenomena) in all the basins of the Veneto except the Alto Piave basin of Belluno. Hydraulic and hydrogeological alert levels have dropped in all basins affected by the disturbances of the last few days.

As regards the hydraulic risk, the level of criticality expected in the Alto Brenta-Bacchiglione-Alpone, Adige-Garda and Monti Lessini and Po, Fissero-Tartaro-CanalBianco and Basso Adige basins drops to a state of attention (yellow). In the area of ​​the Lower Piave, Sile and the basin draining into the lagoon, a state of “attention” remains due to hydraulic risk limited to the Sile river in the Roncade area. In the Po, Fissero-Tartaro-CanalBianco and Basso Adige areas, the state of “pre-alarm” remains limited to the Po river in the delta area. As regards hydrogeological risk, the state of attention remains in the Basso Brenta-Bacchiglione and Alto Brenta-Bacchiglione-Alpone basins.

In the Po, Fissero-Tartaro-CanalBianco and Basso Adige basins the hydraulic criticality is to be considered “Orange” (early warning) for the terminal and deltaic section of the Po river. In the Basso Brenta-Bacchiglione basin the hydraulic criticality refers to the Frattaro system.
