The debut of the “Signs and Presagi” exhibition in Agrigento

The opening meeting will be dedicated to the novel “Ask if he lives or if he dies” by Gaia Giovagnoli.

The literary review arrives “Signs and Omens“, with the first appointment today, Thursday 23 May at 6pm at the Scaro Cafè, in Piazza Ravanusella, Agrigento. The event is organized in collaboration with Teleacras and the library The Book Merchant. The opening meeting will be dedicated to the novel “Ask if he lives or if he dies” by Gaia Giovagnoli. The writer from Rimini will be moderated by the journalist from Agrigento Gero Micciché.

During the meeting, the main themes of the novel will be explored in depth, which has tarot cards, dysfunctional relationships and violence against women at its centre.
The protagonist India, a young fortune teller, uses tarot cards as a guide to navigate through the complexities of her life and relationships.
In fact, India relives her past toxic relationship with her ex-partner Leo, with whom she shared a restless love, full of emotional violence. Leo’s segregation of India brings to light the painful issue of violence against women.

A dense and profound book that will be discussed directly with the author Gaia Giovagnoli, currently on tour in Sicily with two books, the novel “Ask if he lives or if he dies” and the collection of poems “Babajaga”. The author was a guest at the “38° Parallelo” festival in Marsala last weekend and will continue to present her books in the next two weeks in other Sicilian cities.

This first meeting represents an opportunity to delve into important and current issues through the lens of narrative, offering the public the opportunity to interact directly with the author.
