A space will be dedicated to Puglia and the beauties of the territories. There will also be this in the Fiera del Levante pavilion chosen as the home of the International Media Centre, the large press center from which a thousand journalists will follow the three days of the G7, scheduled in Borgo Egnazia in Fasano (from 13 to 15 June). In recent days, the organization of the summit signed a contract with Nuova Fiera del Levante, the company that organizes the exhibitions. And who will also take care of setting up the media centre.

The pavilion chosen is the recently redeveloped one (during the sampling period, it hosts the furniture salon). However, the conference centre, initially optioned by the G7 organisation, will not be used. The heads of state will not be arriving at the Media Center in Bari and therefore the new pavilion will be sufficient to welcome journalists from all over the world.

Following the indications coming from the organization of the international summit, the Nuova Fiera del Levante, first of all, will have to set up the spaces for the 780 stations planned. Of course there will be wi-fi and a common area with printers and photocopiers. The salient images of the summit will scroll on large screens, such as the arrival of the heads of delegation at the airports of Brindisi and Bari, the family photo and the final press conference. A 24-hour catering service will be ensured in the International Media Center and bars will be set up in some areas. One of the new features, however, is also represented by an area that will be dedicated to Puglia: a showcase with images and information material which, in the intentions of the organizers, will contribute to making our region known to foreign journalists.

The level of security will be maximum. And it is no coincidence that inspections by Digos have been underway for a few days. The Fiera del Levante will be off limits and the restrictions will concern employees of companies based in the fairgrounds. The decision to set up the large press center in Bari will have repercussions on the city. Borgo Egnazia, during the three days of the summit, will also be off limits to information operators. Which is why almost all of them will stay in Bari or the surrounding municipalities. The numbers in the city hotels are sold out especially on the 13th, 14th and 15th of June (only some delegations have blocked the rooms starting from the 11th). Starting from the 13th in Bari at the Nicolaus hotel an important medical conference is scheduled, organized (before Puglia was chosen to host the G7) to celebrate twenty years of Sigla, the Italian Glaucoma Society. A three-day study that will bring around 200 professionals to Bari. And it is the concomitance of these two events, the G7 with the International Media Center and the medical conference that ensures that the few hotels in Bari are all full. And for this reason the choice of journalist delegations also fell on some accommodation facilities in nearby municipalities.
