A hotel in the southern area of Rimini was closed for a month, based on article 100 of the TULPS (Consolidated Law on Public Security Laws), following a decision by the Police Commissioner motivated by a detected danger to order and safety. public security.
In fact, last April 19th the Carabinieri and the Police intervened following a furious argument that broke out between several people, one of whom was then injured by a stabbed weapon.
Investigation activities began from the episode, revealing an overall critical picture: hotel guests who were the perpetrators of harassing behaviour, a woman who, last March, started throwing objects from a window into the street, risking injuring pedestrians.
But problems also emerged from the administrative checks: the fact that people with criminal records were hosted in the rooms without the owner of the facility communicating the names of the guests, as required by law. And between the end of 2023 and the first months of 2024, the hotel hosted six people arrested for drug crimes, property crimes and violations of immigration regulations.
The provision has been adopted, communicated by the Police Headquarters, “evaluating the need to counteract the consolidation of the situation created, adopting a measure aimed at dissuading people from frequenting the accommodation facility in question, depriving individuals engaged in illicit activities of their usual place of aggregation”
