PESARO – Palas, the controversy does not subside. A troubled construction site that continues to be talked about even after the inauguration.

Mayoral candidate Pia Perricci talks about the Scavolini Auditorium. «In September 2015, Mayor Ricci, with a proclamation, announced the renovation of the old Palas foreseeing an investment of 3,600,000 euros. After announcements and new works, the total cost of the construction site has reached over 10 million euros. Inauguration carried out complete with proclamations in February 2024 by the Municipality and Councilor Pozzi, and the mind runs quickly to the ribbon cutting complete with celebrations but above all to the cultural and tourist attraction that the Auditorium would make its own with musical events, conferences and sports events, and in order not to make tourists but also the citizens of Pesaro miss out on anything, the presence of a restaurant that could pamper everyone before or after the events and even a pharmacy was planned and announced”.

The opposition has repeatedly criticized the management of the construction site. A construction site with various stops, such as the one imposed by the Nil police due to irregularities. Political controversy over the restructuring operation and the money spent. A case that also ended up in the council with the mayor ready to give explanations.

But there’s more. «After the wedding the deceptions are discovered. Unfortunately there is no restaurant. Unfortunately there is no pharmacy – which also seems to have started a legal case and unfortunately the Scavolini Auditorium to date, and therefore, three months after the inauguration it is still an open construction site. Inside there is the presence of scaffolding, concrete, exposed perforated bricks, lplaces that are still completely in their raw state, without any safety protection for any visitors. Lest we forget that the Palace, following an agreement with the Municipality, was given over to Aspes to manage until the end of the year. The question arises spontaneously: at the time of the inauguration, who issued the permit for use, albeit temporary, for the auditorium? What level of security was ensured for all visitors? With what permission was the auditorium not only inaugurated, but also opened to the public, which at present is still under construction? For more It is not known, not even how much the cost of the works still to be carried out amounts to without forgetting that they are already clearly visible outside the Scavolini auditorium numerous crackswhich the most guaranteeists will certainly justify as a geological settlement of the property, but there is also the presence of detachment of the plaster. A nice business card for Pesaro, capital of culture.”
