Viterbo – We receive and publish – On Saturday 25 May at 5pm in the Sala Regia of the municipality of Viterbo the volunteer organization Viterbo con amore proposes the presentation of the book “Pier Paolo Pasolini, a soul divided in two. The art of being different” by Rosella Lisoni, with readings by Anna Maria Fausto and performances by Pietro Benedetti. The event is part of the 17th Volunteering Festival.

Almost a long and poetic dialogue between the author and the great intellectual of the 20th century, a walk along the path of his art, with references to his family history, his childhood, his youthful years, the female universe, the numerous journeys mirroring an internal journey that Pier Paolo Pasolini takes into the depths of his friend.

The book describes with strong pathos and infinite admiration the poetic, cinematographic and literary sphere of the most controversial author of the last century, without neglecting references to the feeling of the sacred that nourishes almost his entire artistic career.

The last chapter of the book is dedicated to the profound relationship that united Pasolini to Tuscia, a place of the heart, a place of the sacred where he lived for five years from 1970 to 1975, becoming owner of the Collecasale Castle known as Torre di Chia.

Place where he wrote part of the posthumous novel Petrolio, The Lutheran Letters and Trasumanar e organiser.

The book brings the reader closer to the complex Pasolini universe in which dreamlike elements, civil and political commitment, profound erudition, infinite faith in the logos and in the salvific power of literature capable of healing and saving the world coexist.

Viterbo with love
