The author, playwright and writer Stefano Massini which he accomplished a monologue on the Piazza della Loggia massacre of 1974 and on the history of commitment to truth and justice of many democratic realities of the city, the political reflection of Gianni Cuperlo, the intervention of the secretary general of the national SPI Tania Scacchetti: these are some of the voices that will take place on the stage of the Social Theatre on the morning of May 23rd.

The initiative “Work defeats hate” is promoted by the pensioners’ union Spi Cgil Brescia, National Spi Cgil and Spi Cgil Lombardia and is dedicated to commemorating the fallen in Piazza Loggia, remembering the events of 1974, the role of the union in the history of the city and the country, reflecting on the future and the open challenges of contemporary democracies. A reflection that will also be developed through the historian’s contributions Francesco Palaiaof the philosopher Giorgia Serughetti and the sociologist Sergio Sorgi.

They will be present Spi CGIL delegations from all over Italy and many activists from the Spi of Brescia, including direct witnesses of the massacrecommitted for fifty years not to forget.
