In September Fico is reborn, this time under the banner Grand Tour Italy, with a rebrand themed “regions, culture and tourism”. Each of the 20 regions will have a dedicated space, which will include a landscape and tourist promotion area, a typical tavern with management and menus that vary periodically (approximately every two months), a market with typical regional products and an educational area.

Through a series of events and folkloristic displays, Grand Tour Italia aims to “transmit the energy and enthusiasm of regional traditions directly into the heart of the park, making the experience more engaging”. Entrance and parking will be free, as will many courses dedicated to children, teenagers and pensioners (organised in collaboration with Slow Food and AIS) and various entertainment activities, to give everyone the opportunity to have fun while learning more about the traditions of the individual regions.”

Grand Tour Italia is much more than just a tourist destination,” says founder Oscar Farinetti. “It is a tribute to the extraordinary diversity and cultural richness of our country, an invitation to explore, taste and experience Italy in all its splendor. A 50,000 square meter journey that offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy Italy like never before.”

The mayor also attended the presentation Matteo Leporewho said he was positive: “Many things at stake, investors, jobs and the reputation of the area. Together we will work to restart this project.”
