Seizure of over a kilo of cocaine on the Teramo and Ascoli coast, two arrests – Notizie d’Abruzzo

1.3 kilos of cocaine, worth tens of thousands of euros, destined mainly for the Teramo and Ascoli coasts, were seized in Tortoreto. The operation by the Carabinieri of the Alba Adriatica company led to the arrest of two migrants aged 33 and 29 years accused of detention for the purpose of dealing drugs. The two were locked up in the Teramo prison. The military carried out a search in a house in Tortoreto used, according to the investigators, as a laboratory for the packaging of cocaine to be used for trafficking. Here, in addition to the 1,204 grams of narcotic, two precision electronic scales and material suitable for packaging the doses were also found. In a subsequent search in Colonnella, in uncultivated land, another 100 grams of cocaine were found divided into 200 heat-sealed sachets. The search in a house in San Benedetto del Tronto instead made it possible to find and seize 5,500 euros in banknotes of various denominations, which according to the investigators was presumed to be the proceeds of the illicit drug dealing activity.
