A meeting-debate to explore the themes of the Health Budget, a new model of care and social reintegration for people with psychiatric pathologies or intellectual and relational disabilities.
The event “The Health Budget in the Italian welfare system”, organized by the Sicilian Rehabilitation Consortium in collaboration with the ASP of Ragusa, will be held on Thursday 23 May, at 5pm, in the conference room of the Kikki Village Resort in Modica, Contrada Zimmardo-Grafetta
The initiative will see the authoritative presence of Fabrizio Starace, currently one of the most illustrious psychiatrists on the national scene as well as the protagonist of the introduction and application of the Health Budget in Italy.
Starting from his latest book “The Health Budget in the Italian welfare system” (Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore, 2024), Fabrizio Starace will discuss with the participants the issues of the Health Budget, the new models of social-health integration and the new mental health practices and will provide very useful ideas for the development of individualized therapeutic projects within the Sicilian healthcare system.
President of the Italian Society of Psychiatric Epidemiology, Director of the Department of Mental Health and Pathological Addictions of the AUSL of Modena, adjunct professor of Social Psychiatry and Community Mental Health at the UNIMORE University, Starace has contributed significantly to innovation organizational and management in the mental health care system.
Thursday’s meeting will be moderated by Fiorentino Trojano, Psychiatrist, CSR Consultant and member of the Mental Health Coordination at the Regional Health Department, and will see the participation of the Extraordinary Commissioner of the ASP of Ragusa Giuseppe Drago, the director of the Department of Health Mental of the ASP Giuseppe Morando, of Martina Raniolo of the SIRP Sicilia, Italian Society of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and of the CSR President Sergio Lo Trovato.
