AREZZO – The Arezzo Swimming Hall hosts a day dedicated exclusively to newborns. A new edition of the Baby Acquatic’s Day is scheduled for Sunday 26 May which, between 9.30 and 12.00, will offer a series of lessons with free participation for children in the “0-3 years” age group who will be able to experience the emotions of first experiences in the swimming pool together with their parents. The event is promoted by Chimera Nuoto with the aim of developing a serene and safe approach towards the aquatic environment from the first months of life, through a lesson structured according to the teaching of the Giletto Method, the only Italian method scientifically recognized for teaching swimming in newborns.
The Baby Acquatic’s Day has been repeated continuously for over twenty years and represents one of the most popular and eagerly awaited initiatives of the Palazzetto del Nuoto, with a format structured specifically on the characteristics and needs of the little ones. The day of May 26th will start at 9.30 for newborns from zero to twenty-four months and will then continue with children up to three years old, with entry into the pool preceded by a welcome by the technical staff of Chimera Coordinated Swimming by Carla Mazzoli. The lesson will take place with the constant presence of a parent who will enter the tub with their child to encourage a peaceful approach towards the aquatic environment and to carry out a psychomotor activity capable of bringing numerous benefits in different areas of growth: it prevents drowning , stimulates appetite, accelerates brain and language development, strengthens the heart, promotes sleep and eliminates stress. The quality of the lesson is guaranteed by the training and constant updating of the technicians of Chimera Nuoto which, affiliated to the “National School of Infantile Aquatic Education”, is among the Italian points of reference for teaching infants.
