He was accused of unauthorized access to the computer system of a disloyal company employee but he did not violate the law because the “target” cell phone was a company one and had been returned to the offices. The position of Giuseppe Dezzani, known as a super expert for various Italian prosecutors’ offices, is moving towards archiving. Fifty-four years old, a former non-commissioned officer of the military engineers, he was a consultant for Costa Crociere in the expertise on the black boxes of the Concordia ship, but also for the Asti Prosecutor’s Office in the case of the murder of Elena Ceste.
His position emerged as part of a maxi-investigation by the Turin prosecutor’s office which had targeted various (alleged) industrial espionage practices which also saw Riccardo Ravera, better known as Archer, under investigation (currently under investigation). the former carabiniere who arrested – together with Captain Ultimo, the leader of the Corleonesi Salvatore Riina.
For him, dismissal was requested in relation to one of the contested crimes, namely the abusive exercise of the profession of private investigator: “The activity in question – we read in the dismissal request signed by prosecutors Gianfranco Colace and Giovanni Caspani – is not subject to a “special State qualification”, such as that resulting from the necessary registration in professional registers, but to the issuing of an administrative license by the Prefect”.
