The meeting, introduced by the teacher Giuseppina Gravina, offered an opportunity for discussion and reflection on the issues of preventing prejudice, indifference and stigma associated with depression and psychological suffering. Mr Diacono, with his experience and sensitivity, was able to involve the public. During the event, dialogue expanded, offering those in attendance a safe space to express their thoughts and concerns. The interactive and inclusive approach adopted by Mr. Diacono has allowed us to create a climate of mutual listening and empathy, which is fundamental for addressing such delicate issues. The event fully achieved its objectives, raising participants’ awareness of the importance of prejudice prevention and psychological support. The testimonies and proposed activities highlighted the need for a collective commitment to counteract indifference and promote a culture of understanding and mutual support.
