Unpaid withholdings: 800 thousand euros seized from an entrepreneur from Castellammare
An entrepreneur from Castellammare in the shipbuilding sector evades taxes for eight hundred thousand euros. The Guardia di Finanza Group of Torre Annunziata has executed a preventive seizure decree, for the amount of 803,433 euros, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Torre Annunziata, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, against a company based in Castellammare di Stabia, and its legal representative, investigated for the crime of failure to pay withholding taxes due or certified.
In particular, the recipient of the measure allegedly failed to pay the withholdings made to the employees of the aforementioned company, operating in the repair and maintenance sector of commercial and pleasure vessels, relating to the tax years from 2018 to 2020, for a total of €803,433.36.
In light of the findings that emerged, the actual ablation measure was therefore issued, also as an equivalent, for the entire amount of taxes evaded, corresponding to the profit from the tax crimes.
The execution of the seizure order, still in progress, concerns company shares, vehicles and financial assets attributable to the company and the suspect, the overall value of which is being quantified.
