On Saturday, at the congress center of the Cesena Fair, on the occasion of the electoral campaign for the renewal of the mayor and the municipal council of Cesena, a meeting promoted by the city section of Forza Italia was held to discuss the security problems that afflict the city of Cesena.
The meeting attended by the Honorable Rosaria Tassinari, president of the Regional Coordination of Emilia Romagna and candidate in the elections for the renewal of the European Parliament, was also attended by the lawyer Michele Pascarella, former director of the Cesena Police Station, city commissioner of Forza Italia and candidate for the municipal council of Cesena and the provincial representatives of Siulp, Sap and Siap respectively Luca Ubbissi representing Roberto Galeotti, Roberto Meloni and Michele Fratellanza. Also present for the first time were the military representatives of the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Air Force.
The well-attended meeting in a packed room was preceded by the greeting of the centre-right mayoral candidate Marco Casali who highlighted the problems that are currently plaguing the city. The Honorable Rosaria Tassinari illustrated the new regulations that parliament is preparing to approve with the active contribution of Forza Italia regarding the protection of the elderly and police personnel.
All the police unions have raised the alarm about the media and physical attacks which, after the events in Florence and Pisa, in which the police were victims of troublemakers who, in violation of the law, were trying to create disorder, are spreading throughout the peninsula. The events in Milan with the wounding of the young inspector Ghristian Di Martino and again in Milan the episode of the policeman under investigation for having wounded a non-EU citizen of Egyptian nationality in similar circumstances have brought out great unease in the police forces who feel exposed not only at the risk of their lives but also to be investigated when they intervene.
All the unions highlighted the staffing shortages of all the police forces operating in the area. Lawyer Pascarella illustrated Forza Italia’s proposal for security consisting of: video surveillance and technological systems for security, structures for city security, creation within the Local Police Command of the room for protected interviews of abused women and abused minors, fight against juvenile crime and Baby Gangs, increased staffing of the local police, support policies for security and defense sector personnel.
In conclusion, the Honorable Tassinari committed to making every effort to increase the workforce throughout the entire territory of the province of Forlì-Cesena.
