On Tuesday 14 May, the provincial management of Azione Cosenza met in the hall of coats of arms of the building of the Province of Cosenza. The meeting, which was well attended, saw the presence not only of the members elected at the last congress, but also of the many local administrators who are joining the movement in the province of Cosenza. The management, chaired by the secretary Giovanni Lefosse and by Gilbrto Fialà Secretary regional of the under 30s, saw the presence of the regional president of the party, Hon. Giuseppe Graziano, and Stefania Postorivo, one of the three Calabrian candidates in the next European elections. The topics addressed were those of the imminent and important European elections.
After a rich discussion, the management defined a guideline for the electoral campaign, committing itself to organizing meetings throughout the provincial territory and reiterating its full support for the three Calabrian candidates: Stefania Postorivo, Ramona Calafiori and the regional secretary of Action, Francesco De Nisi. In addition to the European elections, the provincial leadership group of Azione will also be involved in the administrative elections in various municipalities in the province of Cosenza, where Azione will present its own candidates and, in some cases, lists and the party symbol.
Subsequently, the discussion focused on the organization of the party in the province of Cosenza. The secretary Giovanni Lefosse proposed, and the provincial management accepted by acclamation, Angelo Gencarelli for the role of Organizational Secretary. Gencarelli, former president of the municipal council of Acri and early shareholder with good political experience behind him, expressed his honor for the trust placed in him with this important political role.
“I want to thank,” said Gencarelli, “the secretary Giovanni Lefosse, the Hon. Graziano and all the friends of the provincial leadership for the trust they have placed in me with this important political role within the provincial party. In addition to being honoured, I feel the full weight of it and I will try to repay the trust placed in me by starting to work immediately, giving my active and organizational contribution to the party, in this very important electoral round for us in Action.”
