New alert weather forecast for “thunderstorms, river floods and wind” in Emilia Romagna. The warning, code yellow, is valid from 12 today, May 16, until midnight on May 18, and has been issued by the regional civil protectionbased on Arpae forecasts.

YELLOW alert for river floods in the provinces of PC, PR; for thunderstorms in the provinces of PC, PR, RE, MO, BO, FE, RA, FC, RN.For Thursday 16 May, even strong thunderstorms are forecast for the second part of the day, more likely in the lowland areas of Emilia and Romagna, with possible associated effects and damage. Stormy precipitations could cause rapid increases in hydrometric levels in the tributaries of the western plain, with possible exceeding of threshold 1. For the Po river, an increase in hydrometric levels is expected in the Piacenza section around threshold 1. In mountainous/hilly areas occasional landslides on slopes characterized by particularly fragile hydrogeological conditions cannot be ruled out.

YELLOW warning for wind in the provinces of PR, RE, MO, BO, FC, RN.On Friday 17 May, moderate stormy winds (60-80 km/h) are expected from the south-west with possible, temporary reinforcements or gusts of higher intensity, more likely on the central-eastern Apennine ridge areas, attenuating from afternoon“.
