Doctor Maristella Mencucci is the new director of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Professions of the Siena University Hospital. The position started on May 13th and lasts three years.
Dr. Mencucci comes in charge of the Local Health Authority of Tuscany Center and, at the Senese Aou, directs the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Professions and manages nursing and midwifery assistance with participation in the definition of company strategies on planning, recruitment, staff allocation, management and professional development. Doctor Mencucci boasts 20 years of management in the Tuscan Regional Health System, her arrival is part of the renewal process that the Aou Senese has already begun for some time, in a path of professional growth and service to the resident and non-resident population Alone. The Department, within the framework of the Company’s mission, ensures the integrated management of human and material resources according to the departmental model adopted by company act, governs the processes and operational functions relating to the nursing and midwifery professions, formulates and implements organizational strategies to integrate the skills of the relevant professions in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation process. Furthermore, the Department promotes integrations and synergies for the development of professional resources, enhances basic and specialist skills, also through ongoing training and research, the development of responsibility and professional autonomy in care paths and in taking charge of the relevant patients.
