On the day of the fifty-fifth anniversary of the death of Senator Onofrio Jannuzzi, after whom the prestigious school in the city of Andria, located in viale Gramsci 40, is named, the School honors his memory with a day of reflection on the work of Man , of the Politician, of the Professional he was. It is the first time in its history that the school institution celebrates the figure of the founder and does so with a day full of important moments. We will talk about the Onofrio Jannuzzi foundation and there will be the senator’s grandchildren who will remember their grandfather’s political commitment to the growth of the city. Above all, we will remember the senator’s desire to have the school building built which, since 1958, has been the reference upper secondary school in the province, and beyond, for the training of industrial experts specialized in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IT and Telecommunications, Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy.

During the day, three scholarships will be awarded, in favor of the three students who, last school year, graduated with top marks, in each of the three reference fields. The scholarships are named in memory of three former students of ITT “O. Jannuzzi”, victims of the Bari – Nord train accident in July 2016. In fact, the families of the three missing students will participate, to whom the school community has always shown closeness and affection.
The military, political, religious and civil authorities who on that tragic day in July 2016, which affected the entire territory of the sixth province, were protagonists of the events will participate so that their example will be a stimulus to the students to operate, always , according to the principles of Legality and Safety.
