KARATE FOLGORE: GOLD IN PADUA FOR THE YOUNG ANDREA BOZZI

The youth sector of the ASD Army – 187 Folgore of Livorno, records another excellent result at the second stage of the qualifying circuit of the competitions called Open League, scheduled by the Karate sector of the FIJLJKAM. These competitions contribute to the identification of athletes for the convocation of the Italian national team by the National Youth Activities Commission – CNAG, in anticipation of the next World Championship.
The important event was organized at the Padua sports facility.

In the Olympic specialty of Kumite “controlled contact combat” the fighting athlete Andrea BOZZI won the gold medal in the Under 21 class, weight category – 84 Kg.

Four matches were masterfully managed by Andrea, who, thanks to the experience acquired over time, not only allowed him to immediately take the lead in the matches, gaining the first points in his favour, but also managed to keep his game conduct constant over his opponents to the actual duration of 3 minutes per match, excelling in results and winning the top step of the podium.

Good performances for the Fulgorinos Jacopo CITI, Leonardo NANNINI, Leonardo BORBARDI, Lorenzo BARONI, Elena DI LELIO, the brothers Simone and Samuele CORVAGLIA.

The athletes were accompanied by the “technician with the stars” master Antonio CITI and Vincenzo CORVAGLIA.
