“It’s disgusting”, “They think they are the masters, they do a bit of everything, they steal, it’s a mess look”: these are just some of the testimonies collected by Mario Giordano’s correspondent at Out of the core on Rete 4 in relation to the borderline reception centers in various Italian cities.
Between these Matera, in Basilicata. “These reception centers constitute a real social bomb ready to explode”, someone else said to the microphones of the program. A trader revealed: “We are afraid of them, they are not afraid of us, because the city becomes theirs”.
The structure in question, as explained in the program report, is a former reception room now used as an extraordinary reception centre. It was there in recent days that yet another fight broke out between migrants, following which four were arrested for injuries and threatening a public official. Now the judge has ordered them House arrest always within this structure.

Another dramatic situation a Rome. In another report, a correspondent from Giordano explains: “Outside the station the public gardens have become a homeless encampment, they are all immigrants. The reception centers in the area are Caritas and Binario95 but the structures are at their limit”. “Does anyone who doesn’t find a place stay on the street?” asks the journalist. “Oh yes”, one of the employees replies disheartenedly.
