The Casa delle Donne of Scicli donates 10 reclining armchairs to the Pediatrics department of the Modica hospital thanks to the donations from the charity auction held in collaboration with Goart&lab. On Mother’s Day, the Casa delle Donne of Scicli donated 10 reclining armchairs to the Pediatrics department of the Maggiore “Nino Baglieri” hospital in Modica.
“Thanks to the generosity of the donors who participated in the charity auction organized in collaboration with Goart&Lab – declares the president of the Women’s House of Scicli, Melania Carrubba – we had the opportunity to purchase and donate the 10 reclining armchairs which will serve to improve the comfort of young patients and their mothers and/or assistants during their stay in hospital. It was possible to hold the charity auction, thanks to the precious support of the young talents who attend the GoArt&Lab painting courses and who donated the works they created; this represented a unique opportunity for the Scicli community as well as contributing to a cause that was as noble as it was important. The Women’s House would like to sincerely thank all those who participated, donating and making this gesture of solidarity and support possible. The delivery of the 10 seats, purchased with a large part of the proceeds from the auction, represents not only a tangible improvement in the comfort conditions of the pediatric department, but also a tangible sign of solidarity and support from the community towards those who are in periods of fragility and need”.
The Scicli Women’s House continues to be committed to its mission of serving the community and promoting the well-being of all. This donation to the Pediatric Department of Modica hospital is a further example of the transformative power of generosity and solidarity.
Present at the delivery were the president of the Casa delle Donne of Scicli Melania Carrubba, the health director Piero Bonomo and his deputy Antonella Celestre, Antonella Garro of the pediatrics department, the councilors of the association MG Cannella and J. Statello, the representative of the association . GoArt&Lab Simona Giuliano and the ward nurses M. Di Gregorio and R. Pappalardo. Other ongoing projects will be carried out with the remaining part of the sum raised from the charity auction.
