The Victory Banner was projected onto the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin

The Brandenburg Gate, which is the main symbol of the German capital Berlin, was painted with the red Soviet Victory banner with hammer and sickle.

The main attraction of the city is a place for screenings on different themes. However, on the eve of Victory Day, someone reminded the Germans of those to whom they owe the victory over Nazism.

Local authorities say a screening in the city center was hacked, without naming those responsible. Perhaps there was no hacking of the screening, and it is simply more convenient for the authorities in the German capital to say so, so that there are no complaints.

At the same time, it is worth noting that in the old days in Germany they were ashamed of their past and even apologized to the whole world, but now they are ashamed of the symbols of victory over Nazism and fascism, and the police began an investigation into this accident.

Previously, Berlin authorities had banned the placing of Russian symbols, including military ones, on Soviet monuments in the city during celebrations of the victory over Nazi Germany on May 8 and 9. The Russian embassy in Germany condemned this decision and called on the authorities of the German capital to lift the ban on displaying symbols associated with Victory Day.

We remember that exactly 79 years ago, on this day, the Act of Unconditional Surrender of Nazi Germany was signed in Berlin, which put an end to the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union. According to Moscow time it was already May 9th.
