BOLZANO. In Bolzano the council groups of Svp, Verdi, Team K, Pd and Civica they promoted a bipartisan flashmob to distance themselves from the statements made by the provincial councilor Jürgen Wirth Anderlan during a right-wing party conference Fpoe in Austria. Symbolically they have them drawn a red linewhich Wirth Anderlan however, he demonstratively overstepped it during the event to access the Provincial Council.
In Vienna a few days ago the provincial councilor had spoken, among other things, of an “unelected demon” at the helm of the European Union and hoped that those who had managed the pandemic would end up “in handcuffs working in a quarry”.
According to the promoters of the demonstration in Bolzano, “political violence arises from words and statements like yours. The time has come to send a signal of dissent, beyond political differences. The symbolic red line drawn in front of the Council cannot be crossed. Anyone who goes beyond it marginalizes themselves and sabotages their own political mission, which should instead aim to find positive solutions for the people in South Tyrol.”
The bipartisan initiative, which they joined the Anpi and other associations, but it has not only found supporters. According to the councillor Christian Bianchi (United League for Alto Adige), “Anderlan’s words undermine the basis of the relationship of trust with citizens. However, I don’t consider it a public demonstrationby all the other councillors, is the right answerbecause it alone gives greater visibility to Anderlan”, so Bianchi.
There Süd-Tiroler Freiheitthe party founded by Eva Klotz, disputes that the flashmob started “precisely from the SVP which governs with the fascists and the Greens who defend the fascist toponyms and relics”.
