Summer for Kids is back in Turin. Here are this year’s news – Turin News

Hoping for more clement weather, everything is ready for the Kids’ Summer in Turin which opens registration today. And from 12 June to 26 July, thousands of Turin children and young people (last year there were around 20 thousand) will be able to use the services of 48 summer centers present in all the districts, hosted in comprehensive institutes. Many activities are planned: from team games to workshops, from visits to museums to training activities.

THE NEWS’

Among the new features this year is the budget dedicated to 200 families, reported by the Social Servants of the City of Turin, who will exempt them from participating in the click day to obtain the exemption without running the risk of being excluded. Another novelty is the activation by Iter, the organizing body, of a digital desk in via Revello 18 to help families register online. Reservations will be made via the appropriate email [email protected].

HOW TO REGISTER

Registrations for the summer centers can be carried out on one or more weekly shifts starting tomorrow, Wednesday 8 May at 12.00 on the website www.estateragazzitorino.it, using Spid credentials.

The registration cost varies based on the ISEE from 0 to a maximum of 95 euros for each week in which you want to participate in Estate Ragazzi.

THE PROGRAM

The 2024 Summer Ragazzi program includes the frequency of creative, experiential, discovery, social and movement activities in museums, cultural institutions and local associations in Turin and in the first belt as part of the La Bella Season 2024 programme, promoted by Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation in collaboration with the Consortium Xké? ZeroTredici and with theMuseum Subscription Association. There are 84 (33 Museums, 51 participating bodies) the bodies that will make up the rich and varied La Bella Season programme, with over 150 activities. Why? The curiosity laboratory – as usual – will be involved in La Bella Season, as well as offering some scientific activities free of charge for summer camps in the area.

In the context of Try It Again Sam, the “Sammer” project is dedicated to around 1,000 girls and boys in secondary school and involves their involvement in inclusive activities. The activities, which take place between June and August and will continue in September with a specific focus on learning and socio-emotional skills, will address the issues of environmental sustainability and active citizenship also thanks to the schedule of “La Bella Season”.

FOR THE LITTLE ONES

Furthermore, the City of Turin offers summer activities for girls and boys from zero to six years old, ‘Nidi d’Estate’ and ‘Bimbi Estate’. The service for 2024 is divided into 4 shifts of twelve days: for July from 1st to 12th and from 15th to 26th, for August from 29th July to 9th August and from 19th to 30th. A schedule dedicated exclusively to the most children (3-6 years), designed together with the Turin civic libraries as part of La Bella season. This will allow the boys and girls of “Bimbi Estate” to explore nearby library spaces and enjoy light, quality experiences around books and reading, as an approach to a heritage that is always available to them and their families. The Xkè? Consortium also participates in the ‘Bimbi Estate’ action. ZeroTredici with the activities proposed by Spazio ZeroSei.

THE ORGANIZATION

The Turin Children’s Summer is organized by Iter, the Turin Responsible Education Institution, in collaboration with the educational institutions, the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and the Ufficio Pio Foundation. 16 qualified bodies will manage the 48 summer centers present in all the districts, hosted in the comprehensive institutes from 12 June to 26 July 2024.
