On the occasion of European aperitifs, organized within the Europe Day 2024scheduled from Thursday 9 May to Saturday 11 May, the municipal administration of Macerata has issued an ordinance establishing the prohibition for public establishments, including retail establishments and vending machines, of administration in glass glasses and sale of any drink in glass or aluminum containers.
The ordinance applies to premises located within the historic center and in Corso Cavour, Corso Cairoli, Piazza Nazario Sauro, Viale Trieste and in the related side streets of the same, with the exception of table administration – even outdoors – from 7 pm to 6 am the following day, for each single day of performance of the same.
The ordinance also prohibits the possession of any drink contained in a glass or aluminum bottle or container by all participants in the “European aperitifs” from 7pm to 6am the following day, for each single day of the event.
The provision also prohibits the administration and sale by all establishments of any type of drink or food in the areas outside public establishments and commercial or artisan establishments intended for this purpose, from one to six in the morning in weekdays from Thursday 9th to Friday 10th May and from two to six in the morning on the day before the holiday (night between Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May).
