In Teramo, May 15th should mark the start of work on the Court and the adjacent building of the former Rossi Barracks. The Lawyers’ Council: “No communication has arrived”
The issue has aroused dissatisfaction and bitterness on the part of the Order. President Antonio Lessiani speaks of a missed opportunity, expressing his dissatisfaction with the planned works, which seem to be limited to energy efficiency interventions and small structural changes. During the execution of the works the Order’s offices will be transferred but to date it is not yet known where.
“This – specifies Lessiani – when by law the COA must be based in the court itself. Even the court bar, for whose maintenance the Council of the Bar Association has fought, apparently will have to remain closed during the works, following which it will hardly be able to reopen, given that the relevant premises will probably be used as offices”.
Lessiani, finally, wonders what happened to the project of the judicial citadel discussed during a visit by the head of the judicial building department and announces a council meeting for 9 May to evaluate initiatives to carry forward.
