With the program of Women’s Volleyball Nations League 2024 and the 30 Italian players called up, everything is ready for the start of the new summer season of Italian volleyball which has as its main objective going to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Failure to participate in the Olympic Qualification Tournament held in September 2023 will lead to theItaly Of Julio Velasco to compete for access to Paris 2024 at the VNL.
At the moment, the Italian national team occupies the fifth position in the FIVB ranking, with 338.97 points, and is the best ranked team among those not yet qualified for the five-ring event. The 5 Olympic quotas still available will be assigned based on the world ranking that will close on June 17that the end of the VNL group stage, giving priority to the countries of the continents that do not yet have teams at the Olympic tournament.
The women’s blue selection will begin their adventure on May 14th in Antalya, Türkiye, against Poland Stefano Lavarini.
