However, citizens who have reviewed the documents published in the Reggio Emilia noticeboard since last week have been able to notice that there was a ten year difference between the groom’s date of birth and the year he was born, published in the line below, 1974, the real one.
The publication of the orange blossoms was peppered with a small twist, but it certainly did not affect the possibility of getting married one millimeter for the councilor and the mayor who, in a few weeks, will be able to realize their dream of love and raise their glasses in the air, toasting and smiling at this mistake that appeared on the praetorian noticeboard.
The protagonists, while the countdown to the wedding date has started, are Carlotta Bonvicini, councilor of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, holder of sustainability policies with mandates for the environment, agriculture and sustainable mobility, and the future groom Matteo Nasciuti, mayor of Scandiano, who has announced his re-nomination in the elections of 8 and 9 June.
In the marriage publication, required by practice, published by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, where the bride resides, an error was made: it is only a figure, which however suddenly took 10 years away from the outgoing and re-nominated mayor . The publication, by law, remains online for eight consecutive days after verification of the requirements by the office which must request and acquire documents also from other offices or bodies. When the deed was transcribed, Nasciuti’s date of birth took a leap forward: January 23, 1974 became January 23, 1984. Then, in the line below, we read “1974”, after the word year , insinuating a legitimate doubt in the reader.
Those directly involved let it be known that the Reggio registry office is aware of the problem and the updated document will be released today. The error of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia for the wedding of its councilor will therefore be overwritten with the correct date of birth of the groom.
There are two municipalities celebrating the orange blossoms in the town hall, given that the bride is from Reggio Emilia and the groom, as mentioned, is the mayor of Scandiano. And it will be the city of the Boiardo family that will host the wedding, scheduled for July 6th in the splendid setting of the fortress.
The yes day will arrive after very intense months also dedicated to the electoral campaign by the couple: in addition to the mayor, Carlotta Bonvicini is also a candidate, as the leader of the “Greens and the Left”. L
