VIGEVANO (PV) – The solution for the Fiscatech dispute in Vigevano. Unions and company owners have found apreliminary agreement during last Friday’s meeting in Assolombarda. The agreement, which must then be ratified by the workers, provides compensation both for those who decide to move to the Cormons office in Friuli and for those who instead opt to remain in Vigevano.

For those who choose to transfer, there is a daily allowance higher than that provided for in the contract and a package of economic incentives that varies based on age. For those who will remain in Vigevano, an incentive has been agreed as a form of support during the period of job uncertainty, in addition to the possibility of accessing Naspi.

Satisfaction from the unions, who saw it “steps forward with respect to every choice which will then be in the hands of the employees”. Yesterday the unions explained the proposals in detail to the workers. By Wednesday, however, the company will start individual interviews to understand the choices of each employee.

The agreement represents an important step towards resolving the crisis, which saw Fiscatech workers mobilize to ask for certainties about their future. The closure of the Vigevano plant and the transfer of employees to Cormons had in fact created strong concerns among workers and throughout the community.

The solution found, while not saving all the jobs in Vigevano, seeks to protect workers as much as possible and to accompany those who cannot or do not want to move to Friuli. The hope is that the agreement will be welcomed positively by the workers and that it will represent the beginning of a new phase for the company and for the community of Vigevano. The agreement between unions and owners represents an important first step, but the road to the definitive resolution of the crisis is still long.
