Chieuti: there is no doubt. This is the most important victory of the championship for San Giorgio Chieuti. In fact, with the three points gained, Mr. Abbiuso’s boys are moving into the dangerous zone of the rankings and next Sunday one point will be enough for the mathematical certainty of maintaining the first category.
A very pleasant match, played openly by the two teams, with constant reversals. The local yellow-reds, despite a thousand difficulties, demonstrated character and desire to win by playing with determination on every ball. For this they really deserve a big round of applause.
The guests proved to be a tough team with a very strong attack kept at bay by a very careful defense today.
The first goal for the Chieutini came in the 18th minute of the first half with a nice team effort that ended with a great goal from Bucci04 which stunned the green and whites. Roccavivara reaches the conclusion with sporadic shots that Tammaro saves without problems.
In the 36th minute referee Zurlino awards a free kick to the home team. He takes the ball Tavani and beats goalkeeper Di Blasio with a great shot that passes the post to the left.
The teams go to the locker rooms with San Giorgio in the lead. In the second half the guests seemed more determined but the locals easily controlled all areas of the pitch. San Giorgio does not lose heart and continues to play and in the 30th minute, Tavani flies down the left past his opponent and puts an inviting ball into the center which Velotti puts the ball into the net with a great shot, bringing the opponents to their knees . Also noteworthy is a Ferrari crossbar and two other missed goal attempts by the locals. After five minutes of injury time, the referee blew the whistle, decreeing a well-deserved victory for the locals. Excellent performance by all the Chieutian footballers.
