Cosimati in council, Ruscio attacks the mayor – L’Aquila

AVEZZANO. Criticism on the possible transfer of the opposition councilor Iride Cosimati (Brothers of Italy) in addition come from the former municipal budget councilor Loreta Ruscio. In a long post published yesterday morning on social media, the former member of the executive accused the administration of thinking about obtaining personalistic results and not for the collective interest. «When the mayor Gianni Di Pangrazio he invited me to resign, he stated that there was a large line of people ready to take on the role of municipal councilor”, explains Ruscio. «Contrary to what the mayor said, 5 months later the position on the council remained vacant and the recruitment attempts were followed by “no thanks”. Today we are forced to look for surrogates among the opposition benches, not to provide a prompt solution to the numerous social issues but to ensure that the mayor has a possible prefiguration of his re-election. On the other hand, it is easy to unmask the actions of those who administer us by moving the question from “who is appointed” to “what objective will the future councilor have to achieve?””.
The entry of Cosimati, Fdl group leader, into the majority and her move to the council would fill the void left by councilor Ruscio which has remained vacant until now. In fact, his delegations have not yet been reassigned and the council currently has one councilor less. According to Ruscio «at a time in which the city witnesses with dismay the announced death of Aciam, on whose board of directors a close family member of the municipal representative of FdI has sat for some time (Paola Ciciarelli who is Cosimati’s daughter), it would be interesting to verify whether, once she and the mayor have been appointed, they will be available to approve in the council actions aimed at ascertaining the causes of the company crisis and the possible responsibilities of the members of the board of directors of the subsidiary. The problem is therefore not only of a political nature but also of opportunities for the role that citizens’ representatives should have.”
