The Open Laboratory of the New Imola District is a project financed by resources ERDF of the new European programming 2021/27, included in ATUSS (Urban Transformative Agenda for Sustainable Development), and represents a place of dissemination and knowledge on the topics of artificial intelligence, innovation, technology, cybersecurity and environmental sustainability.
The project, presented last November 27, 2023 in the BCC City and Culture Hall of Imola, with an event that marked the start of a participated path multi-stakeholder, has seen in recent months the involvement of professionals operating in the digital and innovation sector, local businesses and professionals, investee companies, public bodies and school managers. The participatory path, thanks to which they were held two workshops (one dedicated to investee companies and trade associations and one dedicated to high school teachers), one-to-one interviews to businesses and schools e online questionnaire addressed to all citizens to which over 200 citizens responded, highlighted a general preference towards a broad and structured program of activities that is not limited to exploring a single theme but which addresses several, with particular interest in artificial intelligence and its declinations and for all the applications of new technologies that allow an improvement in the sustainability of our cities and a general development of workers’ skills in the digital field.
Following the participatory process, which ended with two return workshops to the associated category-company associations and with the principals of the high schools, the New Imolese District has entrusted the activities of the Open Laboratory of the New Imolese District for the years 2024- 26 a.m BOOM KNOLEDGE HUBthe CRIF reality born in 2022 which is based in Castel San Pietro Terme and whose mission includes the dissemination of training and information courses on the topics of technological and digital innovation.
The program is aimed at SME and investee workers and students of high school – The 2024-26 program developed by the New Imola District and which will be implemented by BOOM is characterized by the choice to direct the activities to two target users: workers of SMEs and investee companies and high school students. The topics covered will concern three areas: sustainability, Data-Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and Technologies & Cybersecurity.
The first appointment with the Open Laboratory of the New Imola District will be held onThursday 6 June 2024 at 9.00 am in the Senna Room – Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola
The course, aimed at all local businesses and carried out with the technical support of BOOM, CRIF’s training and innovation hub, will deal with the topics of sustainability, assessment ESG And economy circular.
