This time 15 days have passed since they obtained salvation, 8 since the end of the season for Messina, but there is still no news. On the one hand, all this should give us hope that this summer there will be no announcement to sell the company, but at the same time this prolonged silence is not a good thing, with about a month left before the deadline for registration which this The year must be completed by 4 June 2024. Taking it for granted that in terms of registration/non-registration the ownership wants to continue without delay in Serie C for next season, however, there are choices to be made which consequently open and close other sporting scenarios and not only.
The choice of the coach and the technical aspects
He is waiting for coach Giacomo Modica, creator of a 45-point season, just as fans and professionals are waiting for news on the possible confirmation by the club of the coach from Mazara del Vallo. Even if the owners wanted to confirm the coach, it would be necessary to understand what conditions Modica places. Which is why not talking to each other and letting more time pass is not healthy for Messina. The confirmation or otherwise of the coach would open up other avenues on a technical level, first of all also the future of the sporting director Domenico Roma and above all we could talk about the type of game that the biancoscudata team will propose, significantly directing the market and the choices on future players .
As already reiterated, there are five players who have a contract with Messina also for next season: Marco Manetta, Giuseppe Salvo, Giulio Frisenna, Domenico Franco and Michele Emmausso. It goes without saying that Emmausso, who this year was the cross and delight of the square with his sporting father Modica, performed better and was even forgiven in some situations, it is not certain that if another coach arrived and if the Neapolitan remained the things would go the same way.
The confirmation of the coach and sporting director could then facilitate the renewal of expiring players, let’s think of some names like Lia, Giunta, Plescia, Ortisi, players useful to the cause this year. Or the confirmation could lead to the renewal of some loans. More difficult operations but not upsetting the technical structure would be the only way to convince the players to find themselves in an environment they know. The new general/operational director and the organization
